Join a Book Club

An Ungrateful Refugee focused book club. Dina Nayeri writes about what refugees are expected to perform in exchange for a new start, including in job and asylum interviews. We will volunteer with New York Cares at Emma's Torch, a nonprofit culinary program for refugees and asylum seekers, running mock interviews with students. Volunteers with 3–5+ years of professional experience in any field are encouraged. Limited spots.
