Violist Matthew Lipman plays William Walton's lyrical Viola Concerto, followed by Holst's The Planets, Op. 32. Paired with Dava Sobel's The Planets (2005), which gives each world its own chapter told through myth, astrology, science, and even a letter from Galileo's daughter.
