A The Mole People themed book club at NYC's Secrets and Lies: Transit Tales at the New York Transit Museum — three true stories, one lie, and the audience has to find the fake. Jennifer Toth's 1993 account of communities living in the tunnels beneath New York became a bestseller and then one of the city's great debates over what was real and what was embellished: the perfect warmup for a game of spot-the-liar.
