Eric Sanderson reconstructs the island block by block as it was in 1609 — marshes, oyster reefs, and tidal creeks right where the pier now stands — before the River Project team introduces you to the oyster toadfish, lined seahorses, and blue crabs still living there, collected through the Park's Fish Ecology Survey.
