Join a Book Club
An At Home in the Universe themed book club at Learning Dynamics, and Dynamics of Learning, a Rockefeller physics-and-biology seminar with Emory's Ilya Nemenman. He shows where the classic Rescorla–Wagner model breaks on songbirds and worms, then demos an agent that learns interpretable dynamics from data. Kauffman's book is about order emerging from simple rules, which is roughly what Nemenman is trying to measure. Open to the public.
